This handy pocket-sized book is a great guide to the many historical locations along the Minnesota portion of the North Shore. Beginning at the historic community of Fond du Lac in western Duluth, where early explorer Daniel Greysolon, Sieur du Luth visited with local Dakotah and Ojibwe in1679, the book follows along the North Shore, giving brief descriptions of historic sites, tourist attractions, and current businesses. Included are tours of North Shore communities.
