Scott Thorpe retired from a career in architecture to spend more time fly fishing and guiding. He has fished steelhead and brook trout along the North Shore for 50 seasons and holds the Minnesota record for steelhead, a 16 lb, 6 oz fish caught in the Devil Track. He has written articles for the Irish Angler’s Digest, The Lake Superior Angler, The Steelhead News, Minnesota Trout and Midwest Fly Fishing.
