Jolene Banning is an Anishinaabe-kwe writer, storyteller, and activist. She has spent over a decade working at CBC Radio in Thunder Bay, establishing a weekly entertainment column. Her writing explores Anishinaabe resilience and culture, and how these intersect with colonialism in northwestern Ontario. She lives on her traditional territory of Fort William First Nation.
