Wake the Giant Music Festival

Wake the Giant is a cultural awareness project in Thunder Bay aimed at building understanding and showing Indigenous people that they are valued members of the community. The music festival is a celebration of all cultures with a spotlight on Indigenous culture and music. Held from 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. at the Thunder Bay waterfront, the festival will feature a mix of Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists. This year’s lineup includes Metric, Coleman Hell, July Talk, Crown Lands, Wolf Saga, Ansley Simpson, Nick Ferrio, Luke Warm and the Cold Ones, and Battle Nation Drum Group. The festival will also include a live art installation and cultural booths that are either interactive or have food. Tickets are $60 for general admission and $100 for VIP; kids ages 10 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online.
