The month of August is filled with new exhibits opening along the North Shore and more art festivals occurring, starting with the Under the Spreading Walnut Tree Art Festival in Two Harbors, Aug. 11-13. Next is the Brighton Beach Art Festival in Duluth on Saturday, Aug. 12. Art in Bayfront Park
There is no shortage of artists and art festivals on the North Shore, especially in the summertime. July begins with the Hovland Art Festival (July 1-2), followed by the Grand Marais Art Festival (July 8-9) and the Ely Blueberry/Art Festival (July 28-30).
With this issue dedicated to Canada’s sesquicentennial, it made sense to showcase Canadian artists and the upcoming events and exhibitions being held throughout Thunder Bay.
